Recap blogs written by Annabelle Littlejohn
Today was a great day at Camp Library. We started off the day taking a safari trip in Kenya. We used our VR headsets and the kids got to see elephants, tigers, zebra and lions. We were able to purchase our Oculus Headsets through a Make-It Grant from the Idaho Commission for Libraries. We learned all about the jungle layers and what kind of animals live in each layer. The students all made their own jungle diagrams. The kids listened to the entirety of Jungle Book (BBC version) today on SORA.
The students then created their own savannah animals. We had cheetahs mixed with tiger and zebras named Jelly. We spent some time reading after so the kids can catch up on brag tags, competition is fierce as Summer Reading is coming to a close. Overall the kids had a blast. (Photos by Annabelle Littlejohn)
