Interning with the Donnelly Public Library’s Summer Reading Program may be the right internship for you!
This year’s summer reading program is themed “Adventure begins @ your library!” Library staff will be leading
Camp Library as well as doing Summer Outreach.
Compensation: $10/ hour for 100 hours of work. Interns will work mid June
through early August. Work week will be 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Must work 100 hrs.
No weekend work. Actual schedule will be determined to meet fluctuating program needs as well as personal schedules.
Requirements: Interns must be between the ages of 15 and 25. <<< Older than 25 please talk to director about employment.
Process: Resumes are due by Friday, May 17th at 5 pm. Applicants will meet Monday evening, May 20th for a brief orientation. Applicants 18 and older will need to submit to a background check (at the library’s expense).
The Library will be hiring 5 interns. These coveted positions will be great for college applications, future employment opportunities and more.
The interns will receive a letter of completion after 100 hours and a letter of recommendation of service.
Interns who have First Aid and CPR will receive an extra $2/ hr. Upon proof of completion. Interns completing 100 hrs. will be given the opportunity to continue summer employment with an additional pay of $1/ hr.
