“Kerri Ann (Stoll) Hawkins, 37, and her beloved son, Jürgen James Hawkins, 6, died August 9, 2017 near Donnelly, Idaho.
Words are never quite adequate when a loss so great comes our way. It is with a heavy heart that family and friends try to find peace with the passing of Kerri Ann and Jürgen James Hawkins.
Kerri Ann was born on Long Island, New York, August 2, 1980 to Robert and Barbara (Shanley) Stoll. Jürgen James was born in Boise, Idaho, October 8, 2010 to Mr. and Mrs. Devin James and Kerri Ann (Stoll) Hawkins.
Kerri and Jürgen will be remembered as angels. While here on earth, most recently in McCall, Idaho, they impressed upon our hearts a joy for the simple things in life and a love of sharing those with others. Now in heaven, they look down upon their family and friends who are saddened by their loss.”
The Friends of The Donnelly Library have dedicated Hück Trot the the memory of Kerri and Jürgen. Kerri loved Libraries and no doubt she would have embraced the Donnelly Library had she lived to see it form in to a Library District. She frequented the McCall Public Library and was a lover of literature. She loved working with kids and her spirit shined with happiness.
Kerri also LOVED Huck Trot and made a point to participate every year. She loved the raise and would put on purple and her and Jürgen would show up to race. It was only fitting to rename the race in Jürgen’s honor and add the umlaut. ü The Hück Trot will now be ran in their honor each year during the Donnelly Huckleberry Festival.
The Friends of the Donnelly Library recognized Kerri’s impact on the McCall Public Library. They have a bench out front in memory of Kerri and Jürgen.
Each year after Hück Trot the Donnelly Friends of The Library is committed to use a portion of the proceeds to purchase books for both The Donnelly Public Library as well as the McCall Public Library. The books will be marked in memory of Kerri and Jürgen. We encourage you to come and check out books at both libraries and when you find the little label remember these sweet angels and find joy in the moment.
Members of the Friends of the Donnelly Library and the Junior Friends of The Donnelly Library dropped off books to McCall Public Library.
