Donnelly Public Library is hiring a programming lead. This position is part-time and will run through the summer months. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, pass a background check and be willing to work with all ages. Grant writing experience is desired.

Programming Librarian
Work with the Director to develop plan for programming.
Develop lesson and activity plans for programs. Supervise and lead activities. Provide safe environment for participants during programs.
Collaborate with partner organizations (i.e.: 4H) to provide coherent programming plans for after school programming.
Manage library supplies related to programming (art supplies, snacks, etc.).
Promote literacy, citizenship, and character among programming attendees.
Develop and continue program development including finding additional funding and assisting with grant proposals.
Oversee Americorp position(s) and Summer Intern and other program support that may arise.
Recruit and manage volunteers for programs.
Perform the duties of Staff Librarian as needed.
Staff Librarian
Support the Library Director.
Circulation and Assist patrons in locating and checking in and out library materials. Reshelve materials when necessary. Continually review items to ensure they are properly shelved. Recommend items for weeding, replacement and/or repair.
Answer phone and check “desk” email. Forward emails to Director or others as needed.
Communicate with Library Director regarding issues that arise. Fill out Incident Reports when warranted.
Sell Friends of the Donnelly Library apparel and other items. Operate the “square” and use petty cash.
Keep hours through electronic timekeeping or other system as required.
Keep current on technology including Apollo, google docs, Overdrive.
Maintain a welcoming environment in the library, including light cleaning when necessary.
