What an amazing day! We started off learning about the country Chile, the longest country on the planet! Chile is also a very narrow country, some parts only 40 miles wide. Some kids said it looked like a worm on the map. It was interesting to learn about the three main climates: desert, mild, tundra. The kids were surprised to discover that Easter Island is a territory of Chile and that the world’s smallest deer (only 15 inches tall) lives in Chile.
Next, we had a game of hot potato to see who could open a new item for our American Girl dolls. Neo won!
Excitement grew as we started to build our planter! Remember those flowers we planted on Earth Day/Venezuela? Some will go in here along with some other seeds to grow. The kids worked diligently in getting their planter put together!
