Today we read about Spain in All Around the World: Spain! We got to enjoy some tapas for our snack. Tapas are small, sharable dishes. Mrs. Sam brought her special Talavera serving dish that has both Spanish and Mexican heritage. Check out the description below! Spain has fiestas during the summer, one of them being San Fermin. It lasts for seven days and people race bulls through the streets! We played a game where some kids were people and the others were bulls and the bulls had to catch the humans, or beat them to the barn before the humans reached them. Another fiesta is La Tomatina, the biggest tomato fight in the world!
We also read a book based off a real woman A Key from Spain then we listened her music!
Miss Sherry read Spain by Joyce Markovics. It is short and very easy to read.
