Note from Miss Sherry
As many of you know, Ms. Sarah and I traveled to the Holy Land for a few short weeks. We were afforded the opportunity to take some time off and headed to Israel, Jordan, and Egypt. Our adventures were captured on our travel blog. Pink Suitcase Adventures
We had an absolute blast. The Frost family and my own family came along with us and it was an incredible couple weeks of learning and exploring. If you ever get the opportunity to travel, my suggestion is to travel with a librarian. Ms. Sarah was a wealth of knowledge and I packed everything we need.
After our journey we came home and everything at the Library was perfect. It was even clean! (My desk of course is no longer clean, but you all knew that I would mess that up in short order.)
Thank you to Michelle Noakes for running the ship. Making sure there was always coverage and that all the needs got met. Keri Kosmecki for being the Librarian. Kelliann Ivey, thank you for stepping in and working extra days. Tyler Langer, thank you for being the Library’s maintenance man. Sam Luschen for running programs without us here to help. Also, thank you for facetiming me with the kids. Many of you don’t know but at 3:00 P.M. in Donnelly it is 11:00 P.M. in Israel and Egypt. It was dark when the kids would call, but Sarah and I would get out of bed and show them our balconies or tour the hotel room. We loved having them follow our adventures. Between the 5 of them the library ran perfectly well. Sarah and I may not even be needed anymore.
Special thank you to our Board of Trustees, for allowing us this brief time off and encouraging our adventure. We thank you as well for picking up any additional coverage while we were gone. Truly, the best Trustees of any Library, hands down.
Last, to our patrons… We missed you! We are so glad to be home and to share with you our adventures. We are excited to recommend some new books, and help you learn along with us.
Here’s to more adventures in the future!
Where will we go next?
