Support Ukraine

Today, we join with rural and small libraries around the world and condemn the Russian invasion.

The following is a statement from ARSL: https://www.arsl.org/

ARSL Statement of Support for Libraries in Ukraine
The Association of Rural and Small Libraries (ARSL) condemns the Russian invasion of
Ukraine. We stand with and in support of our colleagues in Ukraine and with everyone
caught in the humanitarian crisis and military action—and with their family and friends.
In alliance with the protest of the international Library community, ARSL urgently
appeals to small and rural libraries across North America to mobilize in favor of accurate
information on the conflict as a means to support democracy and freedom of
expression. We should be ready to find practical solutions and be prepared to provide
Ukrainians everywhere with assistance and support as needed.

The small and rural libraries in Ukraine are vital to supporting the strong and unique
communities they serve and it is of the utmost importance that they be protected and
supported.
