The Bracelet of Courage LOLA.
This beautiful Ocean Tales book is a rhyming story of courage. Lola is given a bracelet with magical powers. The students then made bracelets. The lesson was about how Lola thought her courage and strength disappeared when she lost her bracelet. “The COURAGE has been IN MY HEART all Along!”

Tips for reading with children:
Have children repeat the positive affirmations after you.
Create an action to go with each positive affirmation.
Ask children to give other examples that show the positive affirmation.

We finished the day with Octopus’s Garden by Ringo Starr and we read How To Make A Rainbow again. Our last book of the day was Anchored. Anchored is a love story between a tugboat and a ship. Cute little story.

Miss Sherry read Where The Heart Is by Irma Gold and Susannah Crispe.
Miss Alice used the app. Novel List to read with sound effects. She read The Giving Tree and Oh, The Places You’ll Go!
Wednesday:
Christmas in July… Farmers’ Market Theme was Christmas in July. The kids all dressed in their Christmas Pajamas and we read Christmas Stories.
Miss Alice read The Forgetful Bears help Santa
Miss Sarah read Tomie dePaola’s Christmas Tree Book.
Miss Sherry got to read one of her favorites: The Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore. This version is illustrated by Tasha Tudor.
