March 2021 Friends Meeting

Friends of the Donnelly Public Library 

Thursday, March 4, 2021 

Meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. 

  • Amanda called the meeting to order. 

Members and people present were – 

Via Zoom: Kim Drake and Beth Heflin. 

In person: Cliff Scheline, Hannah Carroll, Amanda Vrany, Sherry Scheline, Jayme Gamble, Tyler, and Mary  Stegner. 

Junior Friends of the Library 

  • Update on monies given by Trading Post, $83. 

Spring Fling – A Mountain Getaway 

  • Junior FOL will hang up flyers around town, thank you JR FOL! 
  • $150 has been raised thru Venmo as of 3/4/2021. 
  • Sherry will let the customer know what their ticket number is if they have paid by Venmo and  will also keep track of it at the library. 
  • Michelle designed the tickets again for us, thank you Michelle! 

Read-A-Thon 

  • Read 100 books (Elementary) or 1000 minutes (Middle School & High School). • Kids and adults are available to be sponsored. 

NEA Big Read – Donnelly, McCall, and Cascade 

  • Grant money received/awarded to all three libraries. 
  • Nice ad in the local paper for 3 weeks. 
  • March 20th, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Donnelly; lots of activities planned. Food available. Craft  projects for sale. 
  • FOL members volunteered to make Baklava, Scheline’s will provide hot chocolate, Perch 55 will  have adult beverages available to purchase, Kim will bring cups and napkins. 

Donations – To and From 

  • Idaho Women’s Charitable League donated $250. 
  • T-shirt and koozie donated to McCall Sports. 

Meeting was ended at 6:35 p.m. 

Next meeting: April 1st at 6:00 p.m.
