Mountain Community Transit took us into McCall today. One of the great things about our field trips is teaching our students how to use the FREE transportation opportunities that are offered here in the McCall / Donnelly / Cascade area.
Our students boarded the bus in Donnelly at the bus stop and traveled to the McCall Post Office where we waited for the Red Line bus.
At Ponderosa Park the students learned about Osprey and other birds of prey. We took some time to continue our lessons on maps and reviewed the big topographical map 🗺 in the Visitor’s Center. The students got to see how large Ponderosa Park is. https://parksandrecreation.idaho.gov/parks/ponderosa/
We read an abridged version of Peter Pan and then learned about pirates 🏴☠️ while on the beach. We then went treasure hunting.
