Day 3 of Pirate 🏴☠️ Camp was busy!!! We started our morning with Miss Abbie talking about 3-D printing and we printed pirate coins.
We worked stations, including a 3-D puzzle, air dry clay, and quiet pirate reading.
We all worked together to make this little clay coral reef 🪸 with a treasure chest on the sand.
For lunch we had salmon cakes, made by Mrs. Sarah, and spinach salad. The students also had fresh pineapple 🍍 and mango 🥭 for dessert. Lunch is a great time for our students, and we eat food that will give us energy to get us through our busy days, while also offering new foods and encouraging our students to try them. Today’s new food was caviar and it was a great success!
You can’t talk about pirates without tattoos. We all got several tattoos.
Every Wednesday we host Summer Reading at the Library from 1-3. Everyone is welcome.
Today, for Summer Reading the kids were split into two teams, boys and girls. They were given one hour to choose a book, build a set, select costumes, and act it out.
They were allowed to raid the costume trunk, the Craft Closet and any they could see in the yard.
The videos were uploaded on our YouTube Channel for you to watch with your students.
The boys built a Pirate 🏴☠️ Ship.
The girls made some colorful costume choices, and the boys’ pirate ship included a mast and a plank for walking.
We finished the day celebrating Christmas 🎄 In July at the Donnelly Farmers Market.
