Hello Friends,
As I hope most of you are aware, the annual Huck Trot 5K race will be held during the Huckleberry Festival on Saturday, August 14th.
This year is extra special for several reasons: 1) we didn’t get to Trot last year, 2) the Friends of the Library are the race organizers and 3) we are trotting in memory of Kerri Ann Hawkins and Jurgen Hawkins, who were big supporters of the Donnelly Library as well as the Huck Trot! All proceeds from the Huck Trot will be donated in memory of Kerri and Jurgen to the Friends of Donnelly Library!
We need your help in two ways:
- Please help us get more racers!!! We’d love to have around 150 Huck Trot participants and we need your help reaching this goal. Please pass along the registration link to anyone you know who would like to run in this awesome 5k, which goes from the Library to historic Roseberry and back. Register here.
- Volunteer! In order to make the event a success, we need volunteers on the ground the morning of August 14th and we have several shift options available to those who want to help. Volunteer here.
We live in an amazing community with amazing people and amazing opportunities to be in nature. Let’s take advantage of this great opportunity to make Huck Trot 2021 a big success! Every donation, racer and volunteer means a lot this beautiful community.
Thanks,
Amanda Vrany and the Friends of Donnelly Library
