Fall Reads

Your next good book…

You want in on a little secret…   ” Miss Sherry reads all the books she recommends. ”

It’s true!  I try to not recommend a book that I have not read myself. That being said,  I read a lot.

A year ago I was challenged to start a Goodreads, as per I didn’t have one.  People are shocked by how many children and YA books I read.  I don’t write to many lengthy reviews but I do try and star most of the books I read.

Sherry’s Goodreads

The most common question I get asked is what are good books for my teenager.   Middle grade 5th-8th and high-school.  I love YA books.  I think every parent should be willing to read the books their kids recommend and I strongly believe teachers should be reading what their students recommend.

This post is for the adults.  YES, that is correct grown-ups I want you to read some YA books.

Here are 5 Books that were recommended to me by YOUth and I loved them.  My fall reads recommendation is to grab a young adult book.

1. The Benefits Of Being An Octopus

2. Shouting At The Rain

3. Pictures Of Hollis Woods

4. Dear Evan Hansen

5. Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda

All 5 are pretty quick reads.  I added in an older YA book that I love that is not typically on most YA must read lists.  Enjoy your reading!
