Day 73 El Salvador

The kids are doing a great job keeping up with the chickens! Today, they cleaned out the hen house and refreshed their water and food. After making the chickens comfortable, Miss Sherry led the lesson for El Salvador. She read the book A Refugee’s Journey from El Salvador and showed her special items that she got from when she visited this country. Miss Sherry also brought a black bean dip, cheese, and pupusas for snack! The book she read told the true story of a boy and his family who had to escape El Salvador because of gangs there. El Salvador is a very dangerous place to visit. The kids and Miss Sherry had great conversations about the differences between America and El Salvador.
