Day 55 Easter Island

Together we read Statues of Easter Island by Elizabeth Raum. Did you know that the Easter Bunny’s address is in Easter Island? Eater Island is actually called Rapa Nui and the stone giants are called moai. The island is called Easter Island because the Europeans arrived on Easter. There are no trees in Rapa Nui, so it is very hard to live here. It is mostly a touristy island now.

With Easter this Sunday, we painted some boiled eggs!

Miss Sherry learned so much about Isla de Pascua.  This is one place that is on my bucket list to visit and understand better.
