Day 52 Australia

BRRRR! What a cold day! Good thing we had a barbie. Not a barbie doll, but an Australian BBQ! We learned about Australia and we were even able to talk to Miss Sherry’s cousin in Australia. We got to ask him questions and learn what it’s like to live in Australia from someone who is actually living there now. Miss Sherry read several books about Australia. One book that we all took turns reading was All Around the World: Australia! We tried our best to play outside and to keep moving to stay warm. We didn’t have boomerangs, so we used frisbees to play with.

The Sydney Opera House by Nicole Orr

Jorn Utzon who was raised in Denmark was a huge addition to this project.  If you read this book you can get a stamp for Australia and Denmark.

I also read a funny little book by James Patterson and Martin Chatterton called Escape to Australia.
