Thank you, Amanda Vrany, for hosting today’s country! The kids loved learning about your heritage and Lithuania. Your story of the prince was enchanting and the coloring paper with all of Lithuania’s staples helped the kids connect to the small country. We also enjoyed you reading Room on the Broom and Hansel and Gretel to us and telling us about all the folklore creatures of Lithuania. Ačiū (Thank you)!
For our activity, we played a Hansel and Gretel game where we used small colorful blocks as our bread pieces to find the way to some brag tags! The kids had to stay on the block path to find the brag tags. BUT! A little bird (Gideon) might come along and snatch your path markers leaving you lost in the woods.
The day was so wonderful that after learning about Lithuania and playing our game, we had reading and homework time outside!
