Today we learned about Finland! Many people from Idaho are descendants from Finland immigrants. We enjoyed some Finnish buttered bread for our snack. In order to get a slice, the kids had to read a page from Snip, Snap, Snur, and the Buttered Bread. After snack, Miss Sherry read a few short stories from Ladies with Sisu. Sisu means strength, perseverance in a task that for some may seem crazy to undertake, almost hopeless.
