Hungary, a Land of Wonders! Today the kids read about this European country as we read All Around the World: Hungary. We learned that you can find a thermal lake here along with more than 1,300 thermal springs that you could swim or soak in! Idaho has the most usable natural hot springs in the US, with about 130 soakable out of 340. Hungary also has the Aggtelek Caves near the boarder of Slovakia. These caves contain the largest stalactite and stalagmite cave system in Europe! If you like apricots, then Hungary may be your next destination because Hungary grows the best apricots in Europe and even celebrates its harvest!
The kids earned a Brag Tag for our reading today by having a “Red Light/Green Light” question race! The questions also included what Americore taught today! They learned about the five layers of the ocean and what creatures you might find in each layer. Can you name the five layers? Check out the last picture to see if you got all five!
Everyone is so happy to be able to have some play time outside! Now that the snow is mostly gone, we can run around and have more outside activities!
