Today was a day of adventure! We started off blind folded and then we used our navigational skills to find geodes and our way back to the library! Grampa Library gave us coordinates to find our library gems! When we got back, we warmed up by the fire and had some smores. Then we learned about Saudi Arabia and tried some dates! Dates are very popular in Saudi Arabia. A lot of the kids did not know that the story Aladdin and the Forty Thieves’ stories originated in Saudi Arabia! I gave a brief history on how we came to have the 1,001 stories. The older kids then went on another search while the younger kids were read to by Cason. Can you guess the story? That’s right! Aladdin. After everyone was done with their geographical searches, we read Feraj and the Magic Lute and Wonders of our World.
Miss Sherry, Miss Sarah, Cason, Grampa Library, and a few others are leaving for their trip tomorrow! So, we colored our dinosaurs that Miss Sherry will leave in places she visits!
