Miss Sherry loves finding little series books and today we read from one of her favorite series “It’s Cool To Learn About Countries.” A good way to learn a bunch of facts about various countries is to check out one from this series.
We read It’s Cool To Learn About Countries INDIA.
Miss Sherry brought a number of spices in for the students to try. India is known for their spices. We tried turmeric, ginger, garlic, nutmeg, cumin and a few others. The kids thought for a moment we were only having spices for our snack. Grandma Library made us curry chicken with rice, and for the vegetarians curry rice.
Miss Sherry also read a book on Libby called Whole Wide World Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was built by an Emperor, named Shah Jahan.
Have your students name the 7 Wonders of The World?
Last we began talking about the 2022 Winter Olympics. Many of the students did not know what the Olympics were. We will spend time this next week talking about the Olympics and adding a little bit in to each day. We will also make sure we follow the medal count.
ALL Olympics books are worth a China stamp in your passport.
Miss Sherry read a book called A Gift for Amma: Market Day in India. This book was a wonderful book of colors and was very well done.
