Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me.
We pillage plunder, we rifle and loot.
Stand up me hearties, yo ho…
We started the morning with a lesson on reading maps. We learned what a map key or legend is. We also played with protractors and compasses.
We went on a treasure hunt on the Fulton Nature Walk.
Upon returning we worked stations with our teen leaders and Miss Abbie.
Alice made sea creatures with clay
Scott had the kids draw pirate ships and skulls on the sidewalk.
Cason worked on Pirate Puzzles with the young pirates.
Miss Abbie worked on 3-D Printing.
The kids read a book they fell in love with last year. Miss Sherry brought the book back from St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. (Throwback picture from 2021)
We also worked on our scrapbooks, had fun in the photo booth and a few kids walked the plank.
The favorite part of the day for many of the kids was the photobooth from Boise Funbox.
