MONDAY
Kenzie’s book The Last Kids on Earth and the Cosmic Beyond by Max Brallier went up against Zaylee’s pick of Itty Bitty Princess Kitty: The Royal Ball by Melody Mews and Ryker’s pick Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger. We read one chapter of each, then voted for which one should continue.
Keeper of the Lost Cities won by a significant margin and will move on to the next round.
TUESDAY
Ryker’s choice Keeper of the Lost Cities went up against Belle’s book Wings of Fire: The Hidden Kingdom by Tui T. Sutherland and Miss Abbie’s book Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes.
Wings of Fire: The Hidden Kingdom won by a landslide. The Wings of Fire books are pretty popular around here.
WEDNESDAY
Belle’s pick Wings of Fire: The Hidden Kingdom went up against the popular votes of Max’s Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas by Dav Pilkey, Aiyanna’s book Magic Kitten: A Summer Spell by Sue Bentley, and Ryker’s choice Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger.
The winner was Keeper of the Lost Cities! Ryker’s prize is a one-week scholarship to Camp Library this summer!
